MUNICIPAL BUILDING BY-LAWS UPDATE PART 2
Planning District (RRPD) is introducing updates to municipal building by-laws within the district. These updates are intended to streamline development, enhance safety, and promote responsible construction
practices. This bulletin highlights key changes to the Building permit
application and inspection requirements.
The new harmonized building by-law is scheduled for second and third reading by the end of May and are intended to come into effect June 2,
2025.
This update applies to all building types, including housing and small buildings, where any portion of the structure is required to be designed in accordance with Part 4 of Division B of the Manitoba Building Code.
