COVID-19 - Level Red November 1, 2020

On Friday October 30th, 2020 the Province of Manitoba announced that due to the increase in positive COVID-19 cases the Capital Region is now in a Level Red status, and stricter restrictions on gatherings are now in place. With this in mind, the Red River Planning District (RRPD) is doing our part to reduce the risk of exposure and transmission of COVID-19 to our staff, our customers and their loved ones, by putting in place some new protocols and measures. This does include some of our staff working outside of the office.

Please be advised that the RRPD will not be conducting in-person meetings at this time. However, our staff are happy to communicate with you via:

  • Telephone;
  • Email; or
  • Video conference using GoTo Meeting software.

If you are visiting the RRPD office to drop off an application or pick up a permit, the follow social distancing protocol must be followed:

  • If you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID 19 DO NOT ENTER the building;
  • Only two (2) people may occupy the RRPD reception area at a time;
  • If there are two (2) people being served in the reception area, please wait for your turn to be served in the general lobby respecting social distancing protocol. You will be directed in when it is your turn.
  • Face masks must be worn at all time;
  • You must sanitize your hands upon entering the RRPD reception area;
  • You must register at the front reception with your full name and contact information;
  • You must respect social distancing protocol (i.e., 6 feet of separation) when inside the RRPD reception area;

As already noted, the RRPD wants to assure you that we are still open for business, but have put in place some new protocols.
